Chief Executive Officer
Mr Shane O’Connor
Shane has worked for Workpower for the past 17 years, since Workpower's inception. Shane has worked as the organisation's finance manager, corporate services manager and general manager, before taking up the CEO's position in October 2004. With qualifications in accounting, business management and human resource management, Shane has driven the significant growth of Workpower over the past four years. Shane works closely with a high caliber Board of Directors and his executive to achieve Workpower's people and business objectives. His strengths and interests currently lie in the development of strategic partnerships, business development negotiation and increasing the type of opportunities provided to people with disability and people with mental illness.
Ms Lee Broomhall
Lee has worked for Workpower for the past 12 1/2 years and is responsible for the People, Performance and Strategy division. The establishment of this division signals Workpower's commitment to its people and resources and includes: Manager Human Resources, Manager Training and Quality, Manager Client Services and Manager Marketing and Communication. The People dimension of the division focuses on developing and implementing strategies that support Workpower's objective to become a preferred employer, which lead to Workpower being awarded Best Employer 2009! The Performance dimension aims to continue to improve organisational performance at a strategic and operational level. The element of Strategy is designed so that the Board, CEO and Executive are informed and act on environmental issues and opportunities that have a potential strategic impact on the organisation.
Executive Manager Disability Enterprises (EMS)
Mr Peter May
Peter has worked for Workpower for the past 12 1/2 years and is responsible for the operations of Workpower's Australian Disability Enterprise, EMS. Peter's strengths are in business development and product expansion. The role ensures Workpower's purpose is achieved by creating opportunities for people with disability. The achievement of employment outcomes and business objectives are key responsibilities of the role. Peter works with a team of four senior managers responsible for their respective businesses.
Executive Manager Mental Health Services
Ms Vikki Lahore
Vikki has worked for Workpower for the past 16 years and is responsible for the operations of Workpower's GreenApple Mental Health Services. The establishment of this division highlights Workpower's commitment to quality service provision to people with mental illness. Vikki oversees Explore Traveller, Workpower's respite service to carers and parents of people with intellectual disability; GreenApple Mental Health Respite, Workpower's respite service to carers of people with mental illness; GreenApple Development, Workpower's training and consultancy arm; and professional services which include counselling; and Explore Leisure, Workpower's Alternatives to Employment and Post School Options program. Vikki works with a team of program coordinators, community support staff and a psychologist to achieve the objectives of the division.
Executive Manager Corporate Support
Mr Ron Carr
Ron has worked for Workpower for the past 4 1/2 years and is responsible for Workpower's finances. The Corporate Support division comprises a Payroll Officer, two Finance Officers and a book-keeper. Ron provides strategic financial advice to the executive and management teams and informs the Board about financial matters. Ron has active interests in life health and wellness and also consults with GreenApple Mental Health Services about the development of products and wellness programs for respite activities.
