Explore Leisure was established in 2006 to provide an alternatives to employment program that was innovative and flexible and which supported participants to enjoy and participate in an active community life and develop valuable life skills. The heart of our program is our Belmont centre, where we coordinate community access programs and run our very own successful programs, including:
- Art therapy
- Cooking
- Cultural Activities
- Bushwalking
- Swimming
- TAFE courses
- Dance
- Volunteer programs
- Horse riding

In response to a growing need for ATE services, particularly for young people leaving school, Explore Leisure extended its programs in January 2009 to offer additional services in the northern metropolitan region and Mandurah. These new additional services will provide opportunities for participants of all ages to access some of the exciting programs we are developing.
All of our programs are developed in consultation with the individual, stakeholders and family, to ensure the needs of all parties are met. Program participants are involved and empowered to participate in the development of their individual program and to make informed decisions. Our programs generally take place in small groups, either in the community or at one of our centres.
